Update Tuesday, March 31, 2020
Governor JB Pritzker today announced he will be signing a 30-day extension of the Illinois Stay at Home order, extending the existing order through the end of April. This means existing guidance on social distancing and restrictions on public gatherings, non-essential businesses, and other activities will remain in place for the entire month of April. Residents will still be allowed to go to essential businesses like grocery stores, gas stations, and pharmacies and activities like going outside for short walks and walking the dog are also permitted as well.
The current Stay at Home order was scheduled to expire on April 7, 2020.
THE Timothy Community Corporation's weekly programming, classes and weekly activities will continue to be suspended.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, a decision was made to suspend all programming, classes and weekly activity at the Timothy Community Corporation.
Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020
This decision did not come lightly, but is best for our community. This decision also aligns with Chicago Public Schools, City of Chicago, and the State of Illinois.
We will be monitoring and working with all of these entities. We are looking to resume programming, by March30, 2020.

We would like to take a moment to assure everyone that the Timothy Community Corporation is closely monitoring the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). We are focused on maintaining a safe environment for all of our members and staff. Our team is meeting regularly to review the most current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local authorities in order to make proactive adjustments to our preparedness and response plan.
The TCC will continue to provide information on the steps and preventative measures we are taking to ensure we maintain an environment that remains safe and virus free. Our goal is to keep business running seamlessly and to provide excellent service and support to our community.
How Can You Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus?
There is currently no vaccine for COVID-19. Both the WHO and CDC recommend taking common precautions to prevent respiratory illness, including:
The CDC also recommends cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects.

- Regular hand washing with soap (for at least 20 seconds) or alcohol-based solution (at least 60% alcohol),
- Covering coughing or sneezing with a tissue or elbow (not your hand),
- Avoiding touching of eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands,
- Limiting contact with people who are sick, and staying home if you are sick.
The CDC also recommends cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects.
